Ahead of International Women’s Day this Sunday 8th March, we’re publishing a series of profiles focusing on the women who work at Genba. For our final post today, we spoke to Senior Digital Content Administrator, Gamze Ozan.
What habit or way of thinking has had the biggest influence on your career?
“A genuine hunger for learning. Choosing to improve out of curiosity, rather than obligation, has opened many doors for me. It’s expanded not only my professional skill set but also the way I approach challenges, collaboration, and growth.”
What’s something you’ve learned in your role that you wished you’d known earlier in your career?
“It’s important to ask for help when you need it. Being part of such a supportive and capable team has shown me that collaboration strengthens outcomes.”
What’s something about your role that people often underestimate?
“Many people assume the role is straightforward and doesn’t require significant effort. However, I can confidently say it demands a high level of attention to detail, discipline, strong time management, clear communication, adaptability, and the ability to stay composed during fast-paced periods.”
What project or achievement from the last year are you most proud of and why?
“I would say my promotion. Over the past few years, I’ve worked consistently hard, focusing on making meaningful contributions. Having that effort recognised was both rewarding and motivating.”
What excites you most about your current or upcoming work?
“Getting to work with more amazing people from around the world, contributing more to the team, and continuing to improve my skill set through the opportunities presented by Genba!”
